What we store on your device, why, and how you can control it

1. About this Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Workmate4u ("we", "us") uses cookies and similar local-storage technologies on the website at workmate4u.com (the "Platform"). It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.

Plain summary: We use only the local-storage we need to keep you logged in, remember your settings, run the marketplace and remember your cookie choice. We do not use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels or analytics that profile you across the web.

2. What are cookies and similar technologies?

"Cookies" are small text files stored by your browser. We also use localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB and a service worker cache, which work like cookies but live in your browser's local storage. In this policy, "cookies" refers to all of these unless stated otherwise.

3. Cookies we use

3.1 Strictly necessary (always on)

These are required for the Platform to function. Disabling them will break login, payments and basic features.

3.3 Sign-in with Google (optional, third-party)

If you choose to use "Sign in with Google", Google's official Identity Services script (accounts.google.com/gsi/client) loads in your browser and may set its own cookies governed by Google's privacy and cookie policies. We never receive your Google password.

3.4 Analytics & advertising

None. Workmate4u does not currently use Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, Hotjar, ad-network cookies, or any third-party cross-site tracker. We do not run web-push notifications.

4. Your choices

4.1 The cookie banner

The first time you visit, a banner asks you to Accept or Decline. Your choice is saved in localStorage under cookieConsent. Strictly-necessary cookies are still required to keep you logged in, complete payments and operate the marketplace, even if you decline; declining suppresses the banner from re-appearing.

You can reset or change your decision at any time by clearing site data, or by using the button below:

4.2 Browser settings

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings:

Note: blocking strictly-necessary cookies will log you out and may prevent payments and task posting from working.

4.3 Location and microphone

Location and microphone access are not stored as cookies. They are browser-level permissions that you grant or revoke directly through your browser's site-permission settings, per the user's request.

5. Children

The Platform is not intended for users under 16 years of age. We do not knowingly use cookies to collect data from children.

6. Changes to this Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date below shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be communicated through the cookie banner or via in-app notice.
